Week 3 phonics and spelling


PHONICS 



 This week children need to focus on the graphemes er, ir  and ur.



Please teach them a sound per day following the links below.

Once online - please click on Phase 5 and this will direct you to learning activities to support the phonics for this week.  The children love Ob and Bob, Buried Treasure and Tricky Trucks.

Once on line you have access to a wide range of resources to support your child with their phonics and spellings. Use the link below to access common exception words, these are the words your child should be able to read and write confidently by the end of year 1.







 By the end of the week, can children write some sentences containing these words in their home-learning books. The individual words that are highlighted pink are from the Y1 common exception word list.
