Transition Activities
Transition Activities
At this time of Year at school, we would be spending time together to reflect on our time in Year 1 and look forward to meeting our new teacher's. This is something we can still do at home.
When you come back
to school in September, you will spend lots of quality time with Miss James or Miss Elliott getting to know each other. You might already be thinking about
your new teacher, so we’ve put together a list of activities you might like to complete
this week or over the Summer break.
·
You
could create a Year 1 memory book of your favourite things we did and learnt
about. You could add pictures or drawings of your friends, be as creative as
you would like!
·
Try
creating a bucket list of books you want to read over the Summer and tell your
new teacher all about.
·
Write
your own profile to give to your teacher to let them know all the amazing
things about you!
·
You
could use the template underneath to create a new class passport.
There are lots of
other things you might want to try to help you feel ready to start your new
class. Remember if you have any worries, it’s important to tell your grown ups.
Please email year1@hilltop.doncaster.sch.uk
if you want to contact Mrs Clark or Mrs Hodgson
